Your Heart’s Health
Is Our Priority

In our cardiology unit, we offer diagnosis, treatment and follow-up services for your cardiovascular health.

A cardiologist diagnoses and treats diseases of all the structures that make up the heart, including the muscles, vessels, valves, chambers, and nerves. The most common conditions they deal with are high blood pressure, cardiovascular problems, and heart rhythm disorders. Patients who present to our clinic first have their complaints reviewed, an ECG is taken, and a detailed examination is performed using an echocardiogram (ECHO). If necessary, a treadmill exercise test is performed. For patients experiencing problems, a cardiac scintigraphy (MPS) test is performed at our partner center. If necessary, interventional procedures such as angiography, stenting, and bypass surgery are performed at our partner hospitals. Afterward, our patients are monitored. Our clinic also uses blood pressure Holter and rhythm Holter devices to detect high blood pressure and rhythm disorders. If necessary, reports are issued for treatment, and prescriptions are issued with Social Security coverage.

Cardiovascular diseases account for approximately 40% of deaths worldwide and in our country. The most common causes of these diseases are factors within our control, such as smoking, overweight, high blood pressure, diabetes, and a sedentary lifestyle. Regular checkups, especially starting at age 50 (or later if there are several risk factors), can help prevent many unexpected deaths and deterioration in quality of life, preventing the development of advanced heart attacks, enlarged heart, and heart failure.

A device that emits sound waves (ultrasound) is gently pressed on the chest to take images of the heart and its surroundings from different angles.

The stress test is one of the diagnostic tests performed at our center. In this test, the patient walks on a treadmill that gradually accelerates and slightly increases in incline every three minutes. An ECG recording is taken before the treadmill starts moving.

A Rhythm Holter ECG is the process of monitoring and recording the heart’s electrical activity for 24 hours or longer. It is also called a Rhythm Holter or ECG Holter.

  • Which diseases can a Holter ECG help diagnose?

A blood pressure Holter monitor is a device worn on your arm that measures your blood pressure at regular intervals. It consists of a blood pressure monitor and a recording device connected by a cable. It measures your blood pressure and pulse at regular intervals over a 24-hour period and provides a report.

  • How to use?
An irregular heartbeat, or an irregular heart rhythm, is called an arrhythmia (heart rhythm disturbance). In other words, arrhythmia is the medical term for a heart that beats too fast (tachycardia), too slow (bradycardia), irregular heartbeat, and heart rhythm disturbances.

Myocardial Perfusion Scintigraphy (MPS) is a non-invasive imaging test that shows how well blood is flowing through your heart muscles.

  • What do I need to do to prepare for this test?
  • When will I receive the test results?
  • Will I need to have more tests after this?
  • What if I experience chest pain or shortness of breath during the test?
A cardiology clinic examination begins with a medical history. A physical examination is performed immediately afterward. A blood test is performed to assess the suspected condition, and other tests are also performed if necessary.
