A general surgeon deals with benign and malignant diseases of the digestive system, which mostly consists of the esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, liver, gallbladder and pancreas, which can be treated with medication or corrected with surgery when medication is no longer possible. Therefore, he/she works in close collaboration with the gastroenterologist, who also looks after the digestive system. In fact, the main area where the general surgeon operates is the digestive system. So, it would not be wrong to call him a digestive system surgeon. However, the general surgeon also performs surgeries for hemorrhoids, ingrown hairs, goiter, abdominal and inguinal hernias, and benign breast masses and cancer. We diagnose these diseases in our clinic and perform surgeries in our contracted hospitals. Depending on the condition of the patient and the disease, the surgery is performed open or closed (laparoscopic).
In our medical center, we perform minor surgical procedures such as removing moles, fat masses, cysts, ingrown toenails, circumcision and abscess drainage.
